Company cars: New advisory fuel rates from 1 March 2022

Fuel rates from 1 March 2022

HMRC has published revised advisory fuel rates for company cars which apply from 1 March 2022.

HMRC has issued revised advisory fuel rates from 1 March 2022. The rates are to be used only where employers either reimburse employees for business travel in their company cars or require employees to repay the cost of fuel used for private travel.

From 1 March 2022

You can use the previous rates for up to 1 month from the date the new rates apply.

Engine sizePetrol — rate per mileLPG — rate per mile

1400cc or less 13 pence 8 pence

1401cc to 2000cc 15 pence 10 pence

Over 2000cc 22 pence 15 pence

Engine sizeDiesel — rate per mile

600cc or less 11 pence

1601cc to 2000cc 13 pence

Over 2000cc 16 pence
